The Look What We Created Collection is meant to inspire our little ones to know that they are capable of anything. Black people are responsible for so many inventions, innovations, movements, and creations. We literally come from greatness but in america, we are taught that we come from slaves. There are mentions of a few main activists that we all know but rarely are our children shown positive images that reflect back to them all that we are capable of.
It’s extremely important for our children to see themselves represented in many different aspects so they have the awareness of what’s out there and can make conscious choices of where they could see themselves in this world. Having that awareness will help them to understand that we come from greatness and that our people have and will continue to accomplish so many amazing things!
Here I have showcased 10 amazing black women who have done their parts in contributing to the advancement of our society. Some of their accomplishments include, inventing the first home security system, creating a soccer ball that can be used as a power generator, and creating one of the first cosmetology schools for our people. My hopes are that this artwork will give your little one all kinds of inspiration as their young mind develops and they figures out their place in this world.
