I created the “I Am” Collection of black owned journals for little black girls to inspire our girls to believe in themselves and their dreams. It starts with our youth. We have to instill within our children all of the qualities that we would like for them to carry around in this world.
One thing that most of society struggles with whether younger or older, is Positive Self Talk. Self Talk is that inner dialogue that we have with ourselves that can make us feel good or bad about our lives. Positive Self Talk is all about being kind and compassionate to ourselves. When the negativity slips in, instead of letting it take over, it's important for us to pivot back to positive thinking.
As kids, our little minds were bombarded with all kinds of self sabotaging thoughts. When we teach our children positive affirmations while they are young, we equip them with skills to help retrain their self limiting negative thoughts and beliefs. Positive Affirmations are used to empower us. They boost our mood, confidence, self expression, self love, and much more. When repeated, they help us to challenge and overcome negative thought patterns.
Your little one can use this to write down dreams, goals, practice writing skills, as their diary/journal, a notebook for schoolwork, an affirmation journal, the limits are endless.
